1.3 Why we are called Belair Concepts LLC.

Born in South East England in the 1950™s John has been a fan of the American Rock and Roll Era all his life. Listening to Bill Hailey, and Buddy Holly or his mother's favorite Elvis is a well-remembered pass time from his childhood in the West End of London.

His interest in the era grew as he got older; left school and adopted the style of the "Rocker", riding the Triumph motorcycles he tuned and raced on the local streets.

The picture on the left shows him wearing an East End Pearly King costume with "Blue Suede Shoes" next to his 1975 Bonneville ready to go to a fancy dress Rock and Roll dance.

All things come to an end, John married; family cars replaced motorcycles and it wasn't until he and his family moved to America in 1997 that he was able to rekindle his boy hood interest in 1950's American culture by buying the 1956 Chevrolet Belair seen in the picture.

Totally restored body off, the car looks to have stepped out of the pages of a period HOT ROD magazine. Only a miniature steering wheel inside gives the game away until you lift the hood to a 350 c.u. small block, power steering and power brakes.

What else but Belair Concepts could he call the company that rekindled his youthful passion for design?
