1.2 Who are we?
The General Manager John Williamson completed an old school hands on apprenticeship with the National Physical Laboratory in Teddington, Middlesex England.

After the four-year apprenticeship with qualifications completed John left the NPL convinced design was his thing but working for the government wasn't.

Setting out to gain more experience John started his first company in 1976 and was soon involved in the design of engine test stands, hydraulic test equipment, can handling and bottle filling equipment, oil jetty walk ways and towers, and other capital projects. Whilst this was fun and challenging John wanted to design products with a more human scale, so when the opportunity to switch to commercial aircraft seating came along in 1978 he jumped on board with both feet and never looked back.

Over the next nineteen years John steadily developed his design and management skills with several UK based aircraft interiors companies until in 1997 John and his wife Loraine moved to Connecticut in the USA.

This led to another nine years this time in corporate America at the end of which John topped out as VP of Engineering and Product Development for B/E Aerospace Inc., the largest aircraft interiors company in the world. Giving up corporate life was easy! said John when interviewed for this piece Going back to my first love design has been a huge satisfaction, I can use the product development knowledge of the last thirty years to help people with great ideas take it to the next level!
